Values are the emotional currency of our life. They are the core principles that give meaning to us and are defined as a set of standards that determine our attitudes, choices, and actions.
Values set the parameters for hundreds of decisions that we make every day, consciously and subconsciously. Values may also adapt as you change; they reflect what’s important to us at any given moment.
They are also important as they help us grow and develop, they help shape us and think about how we need to be as individuals, and leaders. When the things that you do and the way you behave match your values, life is usually good – you're satisfied and content. But when these don't align, that's when things feel... wrong. This can be a real source of unhappiness.
