In this episode I want to shine the spotlight on our behaviour.
Does how your behave fit with what your purpose and identity dictate? Are you doing yourself justice and living your values? Are you being intentional, truly present, and showing up in your interactions?
We need to recognise our behaviour is governed by 3 things:
- conditioning - we are made up of learned behaviour, and we follow that blindly at times – rather than questioning it
- intention - we judge ourselves by intention others by their behaviour
- self management - how we react to things, when we feel wronged, are annoyed, are anxious, etc – that’s an emotional response to a feeling. Feelings are not fact.
Find out more about the 3 things key areas that govern our behaviour, and get some self reflective questions which will make you think about how you are showing up.
Remember, you can only control things in 2 ways:
- By your actions and behaviours
- By influencing the behaviours and actions of those you know and work with
Everything else is outside of your control, so focus on the controllables!
